Abdellah Redouane, director of the Islamic Cultural Center of Italy, welcomes us to the Great Mosque, where Swami remains in prayer while we prepare for the projection of the film in the theater hall.

After the screening of the film, Shahrzad Houshmand, a Muslim theologian and Lucetta Scaraffia, a Catholic historian and journalist, give a talk on forgiveness.

Hearing the two women, one a Muslim and the other a Catholic, underlying the centrality of forgiveness in the two spiritual traditions, is very inspiring. Shahrzad Houshmand defines The Heart of a Murderer as a “healing film”, and this is our hope, that our film will bring consolation to the many hearts that have been wounded by the hatred of our times.
